Day 1. Saturday. Bogotá

Arrival at Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport (BOG) and transfer to the hotel (not included) for check-in. Accommodation at the Radisson Metrotel hotel.

Day 2. Sunday. Bogotá: City Tour & Monserrate

Breakfast at the hotel. At 07:30, pick-up from the hotel lobby to begin the panoramic tour of Bogotá’s historic center, also known as “La Candelaria.” The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum, where you can see nearly 34,000 pre-Hispanic gold pieces and over 25,000 pre-Columbian objects. Then, visit the Mint House and the Botero Donation, where works by the internationally recognized Colombian artist Fernando Botero are exhibited in various artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and sculpture. The panoramic tour continues, exploring the area around Bolívar Square (including the Primada Cathedral, the House of Nariño, the Liévano Palace, and the Palace of Justice). From any point in the city, it’s impossible not to spot the hill that overlooks Bogotá from 3,152 meters above sea level. Monserrate is Bogotá’s most iconic symbol, not just for its natural beauty, but for its religious significance. Its sanctuary has been visited by millions of pilgrims and travelers since its foundation in 1640. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 3. Monday. Bogotá: Visit to Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral (OPTIONAL)

Breakfast at the hotel. At 08:00 am, pick-up from the hotel lobby. Departure to the town of Zipaquirá, located 50 km from Bogotá, leaving from the northern part of the city, known as the “Sabana de Bogotá.” Upon arrival in Zipaquirá, visit the Salt Cathedral built inside a 180-meter deep mine, considered one of Colombia’s most important wonders and a great work of engineering and religious art.
